To Be the ONE, you have to SEE the ONE, to HELP the ONE that’s left.

ACTIVELY PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE AROUND YOU.

REPORT TO A SAFE PERSON ANY WORRIES YOU HAVE FOR YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.

  • USE THE #988 TALKLINE IF NO ONE IS AROUND.

JOIN THE MISSION - CHANGE A LIFE

Bullying, young people cutting or burning themselves, and losing a promising life to suicide have risen over 57% in the last few years. This trend began before Covid 19.

For some populations like our Native American, African American, and LGBTQ+ children, the percentages of those who die of suicide have always been almost double that of the national average.

However, the #1 at-risk youth group consists of our 10-19-year-old boys.

For every bright smile and sparkling set of eyes, we see as many blank, emotionless stares on the faces around us as we travel.

We know that our children’s friends are aware of issues going on before the parents or even most educators. That is why BETHEONE4OURYOUTH is designed to engage the youth to assist in keeping their friends or even the kid they don’t talk to…safe. Over 24% of our nation’s high schoolers and 38% of our college students seriously consider killing themself every year.

We say let's "Be the One 4 Our Youth."

Beginning..NOW!

What’s up with all the motorcycles?

What better way to tell a young teen it’s okay to ask for help than hearing and seeing it come from our leather-covered, bad-to-the-bone rider friends with a hot Harley outside the school parking lot?

Using motorcycle hand signals while inviting them to our mission has become the perfect combination of visual, non-verbal, and audible learning approaches. Whereever we go, our team connects with fellow motorcycle organizations that share the same belief.

10-19 year old young men need to hear from other men that it is okay to ask for help.

We tell a story of HOPE.

And they hear us.

31,000

That is the number of young people, veterans, and college students we reached in our 15 months!

OUR PROGRAM

We are available to any youth group, school, college, or veteran facility that asks for our assistance.

There is NO cost for travel or lodging for a presentation or in-person support within Wisconsin or via Zoom.

Each of our programs is worded, presented, and developed with PURPOSE and based on evidence-based research. One purposefully worded example is that we call 988 the “Talkline" not Suicide Hotline. If we can keep them talking, we have a greater outcome. Talking poses no threat or requires that someone begin to think of suicide. Please know, here is no universal solution to suicide.

Our team coordinates with the host organization or school district ensure that we use language that allows everyone to feel SAFE about our presentation. We get it. In some places, bullies are meanies.

We Challenge students to show us how they spread the mission. (see our 2023 winning submission on our Photo/Video page.) What better way to engage educators, youth, and parents than with a tangible award at the end of the academic year?

Most importantly of all, the Mission is doable, empowering, and provides purpose and hope to the lives of those who join us.

All we ask from those who can is their time, talent, or donation to help us keep the movement going. Help
